CHRISTMASTIME WITH YOU-1989 Well arranged holiday classics. Interesting blend of styles. Best: Christmastime With You.   *** FG011

LIBRETTO-1990 Here's where it starts. First truly good, solid Matthew Shelly album. Many interesting arrangements. Best: They Say. *** FG012

OUTCAST-1990 Ragtag group of outtakes and unused material from 1987-1990. Best: Evil In The City.  *** FG013

A TEAR IN THE VEIL -1990 A-side concept piece on global warming with B-side collection of pop tunes. Moving in right direction with slightly uneven results. Best: A Tear In The Veil (Part 2).  *** FG014

SULTRY SINNER -1992 Engaging but decidedly lesser effort. A collection of rock tunes with few high spots. Best: Blinding Lights. FG018

NOSFERATU (Motion Picture Soundtrack)-1992 Haunting avant-garde score with "Shellotron"-laden orchestration and effects. Also available on DVD. FG019

BIG MODERN DAYS-1992 With this offering, Shelly attempts to reconnect with his roots to a degree. Sounding surer of himself in the pop writing department, and with better all around production, some of these songs are instant classics. Best: Music. FG020

BAD ATTITUDE -1991 First classic. A contemporary R&B album with outstanding tracks. Best: Its About Time.   FG016

PAIN-1992 First masterpiece. A unique journey into the realms of human pain-both internal and external. A prog-rock must. Best: Failing Grace. FG017
